Alison was a competitive club swimmer growing up and volunteered to help in the pool for younger children and with poolside stretches. She started teaching because she wanted to teach an important life skill and she took her first qualification at age 16. Alison is filled with pride to watch how her swimmers grow and progress and where some then go on to compete at the highest level. She is now in a position where she can teach and pass on her passion to other pool helpers who in turn have gone on to become swimming teachers. Alison regularly takes part in Continued Professional Development (CPDs) courses and other outside qualifications.
